Over a three year period, Birmingham based dentist, Dr Joyce Trail defrauded the NHS out of £1.4m - most of which was spent on exotic holidays and designer shoes. She has been warned that she faces a "substantial" jail term.

Sepa may be designed to simplify and streamline processing operations for domestic and international payments but it will also expose out-of-date account data and other errors that were previously overcome through a patchwork of locally implemented fixes, warns Experian.

It has analysed more than half a million bank account records held by businesses around Europe, and claims that 12% of electronic payments made to and from firms in euros currently contain data errors that could critically block the timely and cost-effective transfer of funds when new Sepa legislation comes into effect in February 2014.

Under the new partnership, SAP Business One Group will refer its software solution partners to Iron Mountain for software escrow services for the add-on solutions they create for end-users.

Through the acquisition, SAP will deliver an industry-leading end-to-end procurement solution with an aim to become the leader in the fast-growing segment of inter-enterprise cloud-based business networks. SAP plans to expand its reach by tapping into the existing Ariba network regardless of organisation size or industry, and no matter whether on premise or on demand. SAP also plans to provide open access to the business network, extending the benefits of business collaboration to any company, on any system, from any provider.
