A new app set up by Oxford University spin-out company, Oxcept is set to develop simple, secure ways of transferring information so that people can make payments from their mobiles.
Oxcept, set up by the University's technology transfer company Isis Innovation, is gearing up to provide a peer-to-peer payment app for mobile users. The new app uses security protocols developed at Oxford University's Department of Computer Science that will allow ultimately allow users to create a new secure network.

US Bank PNC, has expanded automation of its procure-to-pay process through electronic invoicing capabilities with OB10, part of Tungsten Corporation plc.
PNC is the first commercial bank in the United States to integrate OB10 with its invoice automation platform, for mid-size and large businesses. PNC helps customers to achieve straight-through invoice processing from invoice receipt to payment utilising both workflow-based or automated approval processes.

PEPPOL (Pan-European Public Procurement Online) suggests the Norwegian approach to e-invoicing is a success story of regulatory, standardisation and competitiveness achievements that could be repeated across Europe. Norway has more than 10,000 public and private sector entities exchanging over 2,7 million e-invoices since the mandatory requirement was set-up in 2012.

Six men have been arrested by police on suspicion of committing a "substantial" fraud at an International Yacht builder, based in Plymouth.
Devon and Cornwall police have arrested the men on suspicion of the fraud, as part of an ongoing inquiry instigated by Princess Yachts last July.

David Cameron told participants at the 44th World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting that the key challenge for politicians and business leaders in Europe is how to make a success of globalisation.
He commented on the trend of "re-shoring" jobs; "There is a chance for Britain to become the re-shore nation. Europe needs to act now to seize the opportunities of re-shoring."
