Wednesday 5th February, 2014

Oxfordshire County Council is considering outsourcing a range of back office transactional services for the region's schools, over an initial four year period.

The deal could reach up to £50 million and will mean finance, HR and payroll being managed by external providers.

The procurement process is expected to start during spring 2014.

As quoted in Computer world; "This PIN (prior information notice) is intended to alert the market to this forthcoming procurement and also to undertake market engagement to enable the Council to shape its requirements ahead of the procurement process," said the Council.

"It is anticipated that Oxfordshire County Council would look for a contract duration of 4 years with the option to extend by up to a further 4 years however we are looking for the market's view on this among other areas."

Oxfordshire County Council already has an agreement Hampshire County Council to share some of its IT services, including its SAP systems.
