Documation helps Children with Cancer UK automate AP

Children with Cancer UK, founded in 1988 to fund research, welfare projects and to raise awareness of childhood cancer was receiving a large volume of paper invoices requiring authorisation at various locations. They needed a solution that would remove paper from the process and provide online coding and approval validation. The charity also wanted to remove the need to print invoices received via email.

Alan Farrell, Documation Sales and Marketing Manager, says, “Children with Cancer UK’s Invoice Management Solution will remove the need for labour-intensive manual coding and take paper out of the processing. The solution will also provide for seamless integration with their SUN finance system.

“The charity plays a vital role in the fight against childhood cancer and we feel honoured to be working with them.” Instant online retrieval will also decrease invoice cycle processing times and remove the lengthy manual invoice chasing process, as well as generally reducing costs and improving efficiency in the charity’s Accounts Payable department.

“A top priority is to implement a solution that will give us control over the approval process and clear visibility of spend across the charity.

“We selected Documation because of their experience in delivering Accounts Payable automation solutions and their understanding of our needs as a charity,” says Gary Murphy, Finance Manager at Children with Cancer UK.
