| Fujitsu Blacklisted by Government |
|
Wednesday 12th September, 2012 In a move likely to be related to recent public sector outsourcing issues, Fujitsu has been blacklisted by the Government as a result of being "too high risk" following its unhappy attempt at creating e-patient records across the south of England.
In a report by the Financial Times, Fujitsu was named as one of two IT providers that have been refused the opportunity to take part in future tenders due to performance issues. It's possible that G4S may also be handed the same treatment after its failure to deliver on its Olympic contract.
Blacklisting poorly performing suppliers is being led by the new CPO Bill Crothers, who took on the role in the summer following former CPO John Collington’s move to chief operating officer of Alexander Mann Solutions.
Crothers came to UK government from Accenture, and was the Cabinet Office’s executive director of commercial relationships before being handed the CPO role. |
