A group of 14 leading Dutch and Finnish e-invoicing and accounting solution providers, including Basware and Anachron have joined hands to form the 'SimplerInvoicing' Initiative, a network of co-operating service providers - based on open international standards.

SimplerInvoicing aims to improve the operations of senders and receivers of e-invoices with the overall aim of achieving mass adoption for consumers, SMEs and governments.

With the SimplerInvoicing network, two apparently different worlds will be able to unite: the world of e-invoicing providers where compliant outsourcing of the invoicing process is the main activity and the fast growing world of ‘email pdf’. By bringing these two worlds into one network, ubiquitous reach can achieved. Anyone can reach anyone, irrespective of service provider or type of service provider.

The European institutions and Member States of the European Union have identified e-invoicing as a public policy priority based on the Digital Agenda for Europe, and as a key component of more efficient and environmentally friendly business processes.
