Logistics giants connect via Tradeshift

Wednesday 17th April, 2013

Today DHL GBS has become the latest enterprise to adopt Tradeshift. In fact DHL is one of a series of major customer wins in the logistics industry for Tradeshift with Kuehne+Nagel and DSV already forming part of the family. And of course these three industry giants work with many of the same suppliers. Those suppliers often work with each other, pulling that together by working on an open platform for business interactions makes perfect sense.

It’s happening here first because this market feels the pain more than most. But it’s a perfect model of the pattern we’re seeing across the world. As each new major player in an industry connects to Tradeshift, it finds itself already connected to the suppliers who work with its peers. Combine this with the 5m+ businesses soon connecting to Tradeshift through Intuit products and it's easy to see that this is a process likely to continue.

The Tradeshift platform provides a different way for businesses to work together. While Tradeshift E-invoicing helps organisations like DHL to create electronic connections to other companies, anyone can build Apps that use those links for other business processes, connecting business in a new and dynamic way.
