Billentis e-business analyst Bruno Koch, has exposed the full extent of savings that public sector bodies and other large enterprises could be saving by eliminating paper in their supplier relationships. In the report, ‘The catalyst for AR/AP automation’, Bruno goes into detail about specific regional savings, using real world examples to predict the full potential of this area.
He also makes recommendations as to how such organisations may confront this challenge and what concerns they should prioritise to ensure the maximum possible success. The report indicates the potential saving in the public sectors across some European countries, showing that the UK public sector could possibly save more than 4 million Euros.
This follows the example set by countries such as Denmark and Sweden where the Government mandates that all suppliers must work with it electronically, which has already saved them millions of pounds a year.
