Thursday 30th May, 2013
Smart process applications (SPAs) are a new category of software that focus on collaborative business activities and processes which have largely been untouched by earlier generations of software focused on automating transactional processes. Their objective is to make people more productive participants in a business process, enabling organisations to enhance the customer experience, improve revenue generation, and increase margins. In a separate commissioned study Forrester Consulting estimated that the information intensive SPA markets will grow at almost a 60% compound annual growth rate to $3.9 billion in 2016. Some solution providers stand out in their application and use of SPAs, and in recognition of their strategy, strong multichannel capture, mobile capture and BPM, Kofax has announced that they have been ranked as a “Leader” by Forrester Research, Inc. in the industry analyst firm’s April 2013 report entitled “The Forrester Wave™: Smart Process Applications, Q2 2013.”
Andrew Bartels and Connie Moore, Research Vice Presidents and Principal Analysts at Forrester and the report’s authors, stated in the report that “Kofax shines in document capture, BPM, and SaaS strategy. Kofax is the top vendor in multichannel capture according to the Forrester Wave evaluation of this category and also offers a leading BPM/Dynamic Case Management platform. [Kofax] has strong mobile capture capabilities…” and “… is a good choice for clients whose human-based processes involve a high degree of capture of third-party content.”
"Forrester recognising Kofax as a leader in the SPA market validates for us that our customers and partners are implementing the most comprehensive and advanced solutions available to optimise their First MileTM of customer interactions,” commented Martyn Christian, Chief Marketing Officer at Kofax. “We are continuing to enhance and develop new solutions that will improve collaborative, human based business processes, enabling organisations to enhance customer engagement, gain analytical insight and add business intelligence to their processes, improve revenue generation and reduce operational costs.”
